Redneck Air Conditioning

Wow, these pictures of redneck air conditioning are great! It must have taken a lot of work to compile all these. Somehow, these remind me of the site People of Walmart (okay, yes it’s kind of sad to take pictures of people unawares and make fun of them, I agree, but I can’t help but laugh at some of them).

Batman Marries Wonder Woman

For fans of the Dark Knight, your favorite superhero is finally settling down with the love of his life, none other than Wonder Woman. Surrounded by their superhero friends, the lovely couple said “I do” in front of Joker, who played master of ceremonies.

46-year-old Neil Vaughan, and 40-year-old Sharon are not the most traditional people in England, so they decided to get married as their favorite superheroes, and asked their attending friends to follow their example. Neil wanted to be Batman ever since he was a child, and his wife said she always dreamed of being Wonder Woman. They spent under 300 pounds on costumes, to finally fulfill their dreams.

Robin, Batman’s faithful sidekick, was his best man on the big day, while the adorable Powerpuff Girls were bridesmaids. The guest list included included Wolverine, Iron Man, Supermen of various ages and genders, Captain America and even Bananaman, who hasn’t made many public appearances since Nickelodeon stopped airing Danger Mouse (who was also in attendance). Anyway, the happy new couple now go by “Neil and Sharon Vaughn of Cullompton, Devon”.

The Most Expensive Coffee in the World

Kopi luwak or civet coffee, is coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids. Passing through a civet's intestines the beans are then defecated, having kept their shape. After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world.

Kopi luwak is produced mainly on the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali and Sulawesi in the Indonesian Archipelago, and also in the Philippines (where the product is called motit coffee in the Cordillera and kape alamid in Tagalog areas) and also in East Timor (where it is called kafé-laku).

The Evolution of Video Games

In 1972, on television across the country, two white lines appeared on opposite sides of a virtual court. A square ball bounced back and forth between these lines. These televisions were connected to the Magnavox Odyssey, and were playing the first version of Pong. The Odyssey was the first home video game console, and pong its most famous game. Wrapped in today's stunning graphics, immersive environments, and expansive games, we forget this strange journey into the unreal began only half a lifetime ago.
